Head Massage
The main focus of this massage is on head, however it also cover the areas of the shoulders, neck, upper back and face. This massage is done fully clothed and sitting in a chair or laying on a massage table. Traditional Chinese Head Massage is a branch of Chinese Medicine that is very different from the Western approach to massage therapy. It uses the theories of Yin and Yang; the five elements; the meridian system and acupressure points to restore balance and harmony in the body.
Massaging the head’s acupoints will stimulate energy and improve the circulation of blood and energy along the meridian channel. This will improve the internal organs plus the body’s functioning and overall health. Each channel or meridian is named after the internal organ with which it shares a special relationship. This theory is very similar to the foundation principles of reflexology.
